These dogs were neglected, starved, and left outside in the heat, to die.
Now all they need is a loving person like you to adopt them,
and give them a forever home.

Hi everyone, This is Lacey Sculls. Many of you already know that I've been rescuing dogs for 15+ years. Well, now I have come across some horrible animal abuse right in my own neighborhood. There is a squatter living in a house one street over from me. My husband, Jonny Sculls, and I recently learned that three dogs (2 Great Danes and an English Bulldog) had been forced to live outside for about a year. The electricity was cut from the house last winter, and the dogs’ owner spends most of the time away from the property, sometimes for days at a time, leaving the dogs to fend for themselves.
The Great Danes and the English Bulldog were constantly exposed to the rain, thunderstorms, cold, and extreme heat. (More recently, Las Vegas had multiple back-to-back days of 100 to 110 degree temperatures.) The dogs have been starved, and the white Great Dane has had a particularly rough time, was really frightened, and had become emaciated while living on this property. The dogs constantly had flies in their eyes and buzzing around their faces, they were constantly filthy, and there was diarrhea all over the yard (which could be seen through the wrought iron fence).
My husband and I - and several other neighbors - all approached the dogs’ owner at different times, offering to take the dogs into our air-conditioned home, or to take the dogs to a boarding facility at no cost to the owner. The two Great Danes had become emaciated, so I also offered to give the owner free bags of dog food, but the owner refused to accept any help. The weather forecast was predicting temperatures to reach 117 degrees, and the owner had literally left these dogs outside to slowly starve, overheat, and die. I had no other choice but to call animal control.
After the dogs were confiscated, they were kept at the animal shelter on a 10-day "cruelty hold". After the owner did not comply to certain demands made by animal control, the owner lost the right to own the dogs. At that point, all three dogs were signed over to me.
Once I had the dogs in my possession, I brought them to a wonderful boarding facility to receive some much needed TLC. After that, fortunately, I found a wonderful foster home for them to live while the dogs are rehabilitated.
We are now searching for their forever home. The two Great Danes are a bonded pair, so we are looking for an adopter who will open their home and heart to both dogs, so they can stay together. The English Bulldog loves other dogs, but he also does well as an only dog - so he can be adopted on his own, or he can be a companion for your dog.
We need help. Caring for three dogs is costing a lot of money. We can only do this with your help. Thank you in advance for your support.

Dolce is very sweet, and he LOVES snuggles and giving kisses. He has "young dog" energy and likes to play. He is much more confident than Gabbana. He likes everyone that he meets, and is also good with other dogs.
Dolce and Gabbana have been living in a foster home now for 2 weeks, and are both doing very well learning to live as "indoor dogs". He and Gabbana are now crate trained and house-broken. They also walk pretty well on the leash.
Note: Dolce and Gabbana are a bonded pair, and must be adopted together.
Adoption fee: $125 per dog - All dogs are neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Gabbana is very sweet, but he is still very scared. We don't know his true personality yet. He's shy at first, but is slowly starting to show his sweet side more and more every day. In spite of his nervousness and shyness, we have handled him many times, taken him to the vet, loaded him and unloaded him in and out of the SUV (when he didn't know how to do that), and more, and never once has he ever shown any aggression even when he is clearly unsure about a situation. He's trying SO hard to be a good boy. Gabbana is nervous meeting new people at first, but is good with other dogs.

Elvis is a very sweet boy. He has been living in a foster home (separately from the Danes) for about three weeks now. He is housebroken and crate trained. Elvis is a snuggler, he loves all people, and he likes other dogs, as well. He is a very happy, well-adjusted dog, in spite of the past neglect that he endured.
Adoption fee: $125 per dog - All dogs are neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
